How the Racking Safety Wire Works
The SprinklerShield™ is threaded through the bracing holes of your existing racking frames. It is tensioned to a minimum level to maintain a straight line across the bays.
If a forklift load enters the bay too deeply, it strikes the wire. The wire deflects up to 400mm, creating a heavy resistance that the driver can feel through the vehicle. This “physical feedback loop” is often enough to stop an accident before it happens.
Supply Options
If you have a few bays of sprinkler heads to protect, we supply SprinklerShield in kit for you to install for only £49.95. Each kit takes under 10 minutes to install, and a full installation guide is available here.
The kit includes everything you need to protect your sprinkler heads from a strength and visual point of view.

- Yellow sleeve (pre-fitted)

- No.3 Gripple release key

- 8 mm serrated flange nut
- 2 single-arrow yellow level labels
- 3 double-arrow yellow level labels

SprinklerShield™ is a high-visibility steel wire safety system installed across pallet racking bays to provide both a visual and physical warning to forklift operators before they enter too deeply into a bay.
When a load is placed too high into a racking bay it contacts the wire. The wire deflects and creates strong resistance (up to ~500kg), giving immediate tactile feedback so the driver can stop before hitting racking or sprinkler systems. It also is highly visible and the operator will see that he has contacted the wire and correct the level of the pallet.
Yes. The wire is encased in an 8mm high-visibility yellow oversleeve, making it easy to see even in dim warehouse conditions.
The system uses 3mm (7×7) steel wire rope with an average breaking strain of 516kg. It is designed to deflect (not break immediately), providing controlled resistance and warning.

Yes. All you need is a 13 mm spanner and a pair of scissors, making installation quick and straightforward.
In most cases, yes. SprinklerShield™ is designed to integrate with standard pallet racking systems by utilising existing bracing holes. All you need is line of sight through the bracing holes at the right level. If you don’t line of sight we have other fixing options.
